Suryanarayana Maddu joined the Center for Computational Biology’s Biophysical Modeling Group in March 2022. Surya holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and Master degree in Computational Science and Engineering. Surya conducted his doctoral research in computer science at the Max Planck Institute, Germany. His research interests include numerical analysis, statistical learning theory and active matter physics. During his Ph.D., Surya worked on physics-guided optimization methods for solving forward and inverse problems arising in biophysics.
