Flatiron Research Fellow, Astronomical Data, CCA, Flatiron InstituteMichael Palumbo’s website

Michael Palumbo joined the Center for Computational Astrophysics (CCA) as a Flatiron Research Fellow in September 2024. He uses computational models and solar observations to study magnetic phenomena in stellar atmospheres, with the ultimate aim of enabling the discovery of Earth-mass exoplanets via precise and accurate stellar radial velocity measurements. Prior to joining the CCA, Michael earned his Ph.D. from the Pennsylvania State University.
