Kyle Bystrom, Ph.D.

Flatiron Research Fellow, Initiative for Computational Catalysis, Flatiron Institute

Kyle Bystrom joined the Initiative for Computational Catalysis (ICC) as a Flatiron Research Fellow in September 2024. He is interested in method and software development for electronic structure simulations, with the goal of more efficiently and accurately simulating problems in chemical catalysis. He obtained his Ph.D. in applied physics from Harvard University in 2024 and his B.S. in chemistry from UC Berkeley in 2018. He was a National Defense Science and Engineering Graduate Fellow (NDSEG) from 2021-2024.
