Jeroen Zuiddam, Ph.D.
Institute for Advanced StudyJeroen Zuiddam will be joining the Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences at New York University as a postdoctoral fellow. He received his Ph.D. cum laude from the University of Amsterdam and Centrum Wiskunde & Informatica. He is currently a postdoctoral member at the Institute for Advanced Study in Princeton, where he works with Avi Wigderson.
Zuiddam’s research is focused on the interaction between asymptotics, symmetry and approximation in computer science and mathematics. His research lead to significant progress on central open problems in algebraic complexity theory (fast matrix multiplication, computing the permanent), combinatorics (efficient communication over a noisy communication channel) and to a better understanding of entanglement in quantum information theory.
