Corentin Bertrand, Ph.D.
Quantum Physics Research Engineer, AtosFlatiron Research Fellow, CCQ (2019-2022), Flatiron Institute
Corentin Bertrand joined the Center for Computational Quantum Physics CQ in 2019 as a Flatiron Research Fellow, directly after finishing his Ph.D. He worked on developing new numerical methods to simulate small quantum systems driven out of equilibrium, such as can be found in quantum nanoelectronic devices or in some materials when perturbed by an experimental probe. He specialized in Monte Carlo algorithms and techniques based on Feynman diagrams. In 2022, Corentin moved to Paris, France, and joined Atos as a quantum physics research engineer to better understand and push forward the capabilities of quantum computing.
