Ben Krause, Ph.D.

Dr. Krause grew up in Vancouver, Canada, and did his undergraduate degree at Amherst College, graduating in 2010.

He attended UCLA for graduate school, graduating in 2015 under the advisement of Terence Tao; his thesis work was at the interface of harmonic analysis and pointwise ergodic theory.

He subsequently went back to Vancouver, where he spent two years at UBC as the Pacific Institute of Mathematics Distinguished Postdoc, and later as a National Science Foundation Postdoc, before moving to California Institute of Technology, where he served as an assistant coach to the men’s tennis team and completed his postdoctoral fellowship.

He is very excited to begin his position at Princeton University as a member of the Simon’s Algorithms and Geometry research program, where he looks forward to broadening his mathematical horizons and to developing collaborations across a wide range of disciplines.
