Dreia joined CCA as a pre-doctoral fellow in Spring 2020 focusing on Galactic archaeology in simulations. She obtained her doctorate from the University of Texas at Austin working with Dr. Keith Hawkins on many aspects of stellar populations—resolved and unresolved, observed and simulated—to understand galaxy formation within the Milky Way and in external galaxies. Currently, she is a postdoctoral researcher at the Institute for Computational Cosmology at Durham University. In her free time, Dreia enjoys running, yoga, and baking sourdough bread. Astronomy has brought her all over the world, having hailed from the Philippines, and then moving to the US and now the UK.
