Andras Pataki joined the Scientific Computing Core in 2015 to work on research and software development in scientific computing, data visualization and other data-intensive computing projects. Pataki comes to the foundation from the global financial services firm KCG, where he was a quantitative strategist in the options market making and customer order routing group. He holds a B.S. in computer science from the Stevens Institute of Technology and a Ph.D. in mathematics from the Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences at New York University, where he worked on numerical analysis problems in plasma physics and fusion research.
