Life Sciences Awards

These awards provide support to launch the careers of outstanding investigators whose research will advance their field.

This program, launched in 2017, provides fellowships to support research on fundamental problems in marine microbial ecology. The emphasis is on fellows with training in different fields, including theory and modeling, who want to apply their experience to understanding the role of microorganisms in shaping ocean processes, and vice versa.

In partnership with other foundations, this division supports fellows for research on fundamental problems, with a focus on microbial ecology and evolution.
