Marlow Kee Named Chief Financial Officer at Simons Foundation
The Simons Foundation is pleased to announce that Marlow Kee joined its leadership team in September as chief financial officer (CFO). As CFO, Kee will oversee the foundation’s finance, facilities and human resources departments and will help develop strategies to support new research initiatives.
“I’ve always worked for mission-based organizations and tried to give back,” says Kee. “This is a chance to play a role in an organization that is highly innovative and wants to push the boundaries of science and discovery. And I am inspired by their incredibly dedicated staff and board. They live and breathe the mission every day, which to me is the mark of a great organization.”
Kee brings to this post 30-plus years of financial and management experience in nonprofit organizations. He has served as executive director of finance at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania, and CFO of PATH, an international non-governmental organization with a health and technology focus. During his 10-year tenure at PATH, Kee oversaw the organization’s domestic and international financial operations, grants, investments and internal audit. Prior to working at PATH, Kee served as CFO at the University of Washington School of Medicine and as executive director of the Department of Medicine at Washington University in St. Louis. Early in his career, he worked in various financial capacities at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.
Kee is a certified public accountant with a B.A. and M.B.A from the University of Missouri-Columbia College of Business.
