Yu Wang, M.S.

Predoctoral Fellow, Planet Formation, CCA, Flatiron InstituteYu Wang’s website

Yu Wang joined the Center for Computational Astrophysics (CCA) Predoctoral program in the spring semester of 2025, working under the supervision of Phil Armitage and Wenrui Xu. He is currently a 4th-year Ph.D. student at Tsinghua University, Beijing. Wang earned his B.Sc. from Sun Yat-sen University, Zhuhai. He mainly works on hydrodynamic simulations regarding planet formation. He aims to incorporate compositional aspect in hydro-simulations, investigating the various roles of volatiles (ice or vapor) in planet formation (see more in https://rainkings.github.io/homepage/). At CCA, Yu Wang will focus on the circumplanetary disk region of (Giant) planets.
