Originally from India, he earned his Ph.D. from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign under the supervision of Robert G. Leigh. His recent work has focused on universal features of entanglement in quantum field theories and AdS/CFT. His long-term research interests include understanding the connection between geometry and quantum information theory within the AdS/CFT correspondence.
