Michael Coulter, M.D., Ph.D.

Michael Coulter is a mentor in the 2024 SURFiN program. He is a postdoctoral fellow in Loren Frank’s lab at the University of California, San Francisco. Coulter holds a bachelor’s degree in history of science from Harvard College and an M.D. and Ph.D. in neurobiology from Harvard Medical School. His research focuses on the neurophysiology of learning in rat models of autism. Coulter is the recipient of the NIMH F32 Postdoctoral Fellowship and FamilieSCN2A Action Potential Award.
