Katrina Nguyen, Ph.D.

Katrina Nguyen is a mentor in the 2024 SURFiN program. She is a postdoctoral fellow in Abigail Person’s lab at the University of Colorado School of Medicine. Nguyen holds a bachelor’s degree in bioengineering from George Mason University and a doctorate in biomedical engineering from Carnegie Mellon University. Her research focuses on linking basal ganglia and cerebellar circuit interactions during skilled reaching in rodents. Nguyen is the recipient of the NIH Ruth L. Kirschstein Postdoctoral Individual National Research Service Award and the University of Colorado Movement Disorders Center Pilot Grant.
