Erik Toraason, Ph.D.

Erik Toraason is a mentor in the 2024 SURFiN program. He is a postdoctoral fellow in Coleen Murphy’s lab at Princeton University. Toraason holds a bachelor’s degree in genetics from the University of Wisconsin—Madison and a doctorate in biology from the University of Oregon. His research focuses on inter-animal signaling that mediates aging and survival behaviors. Toraason is the recipient of Life Sciences Research Foundation Fellowship.
