Claire Zhang
Columbia UniversityClaire Zhang is a student at Columbia Engineering majoring in computer science. She is interested in exploring the interdisciplinary applications of machine learning. Claire recently conducted research on applying machine learning toward climate model optimization with Columbia University’s Center for Learning the Earth with Artificial Intelligence and Physics (LEAP). As an SCGB Undergraduate Research Fellow, Claire is excited to work in the Statistical Analysis of Neural Data Group at the Flatiron Institute, under the mentorship of Dr. Alex Williams. She will implement deep network models in Python to extract and label audiovisual data from Mongolian gerbil families to study the auditory system and its development.
