Camilo Laiton is a mentor in the 2024 SURFiN program. He is a software engineer III for computer vision in Karel Svoboda’s lab at the Allen Institute for Neural Dynamics. Laiton holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science from Universidad del Magdalena and a master’s degree in computer science in medical imaging from Universidad Nacional de Colombia. His research focuses on large-scale image processing algorithms for light-sheet microscopy data. Laiton is the recipient of an Honorary Diploma Meritorious Degree for his master’s thesis.
