Albert Elias

Predoctoral Fellow, Stars and Plasma Astrophysics, CCA, Flatiron Institute

Albert Elias López is a Center for Computational Astrophysics (CCA) Predoctoral Fellow in the Astrophysical Gases and Fluids group during the Fall of 2024. He earned his B.Sc. in physics and chemistry and M.Sc. in particle physics and astrophysics from Autonomous University of Barcelona. Albert’s home institution is the Institute of Space Sciences (ICE-CSIC), Barcelona, where he is enrolled as a 3rd year Ph.D. student. His primary research interests involve the use of magnetohydrodynamical simulations to model the growth or sustainment of astrophysical magnetic fields. During his CCA research stay he will focus on the planetary dynamos that might be operating inside Hot Jupiters.
