Title: Unraveling Hormonal Regulation and Its Influence on Human Health and Disease

Abstract: Understanding the role of hormonal regulation in human health and disease presents significant challenges. In this talk, I will explore my initial work on uncovering the genetic and cellular mechanisms underlying hormonal regulation by focusing on the pituitary gland—a central player in the endocrine system. I will provide an overview of the hormonal circuits of the pituitary and share new insights into the connection between metabolic state and the sex hormone axis, particularly in regulating the onset of puberty. Additionally, I will present findings that highlight the different roles of hormonal regulation in psychiatric disorders.
